Scenic Michigan Trails in the Great Lakes Bay
Part of the Iron Belle Trail — the longest designated state trail in the nation — our Great Lakes Bay Regional Trail is the perfect place to kick off your outdoor adventures in Michigan. Just choose your stretch from almost 100 miles of breathtaking pathways, and enjoy the epic Pure Michigan scenery that surrounds!
In autumn, our tree-lined trails are drenched in fall color; in winter, they welcome cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and fat tire bikers of all skill levels; and in spring and summer, they're perfect for hiking and biking with a view.
Along some of our favorites, you'll find pocket parks, fishing holes — even bridges and riverwalks with beautiful waterfront vistas. The Saginaw Bay Birding Trail offers 142 miles of shoreline and surrounding lands that promise incredible birdwatching, too!
